Hello,

What do you think about switching from svn to git ? I think the branching system is a good point for the development. I work with wxwidget 2.9 and I would like to commit the work done. May be it worth it to switch to github ?

Hi Yanick,

I don't mind discussing this, but for me it's certainly not the time right now. The code is one step away from a release and for months I can't find a time to make it. Another point is that we can migrate to git on the existing host. I have no reasons to complain from googlecode services so far, and it feels that a bit of a loyalty won't do any harm to anybody.
(See this and this)

You know of course that branching is possible also in the existing repository. OK, it's svn branching - yet it was fulfilling its purpose so far for the project I think.

Despite all the above - I'll be happy to hear other opinions.

Regards
Svilen

I did not know a release was planned ! It was not a real urgent problem but a suggestion. I think to github because it is a very good bridge to good tools such as travis-ci for continuous integration and to coveralls for code coverage :)
