TopCAT authentication with ICAT 4.1

Hi,

I have problems when I try to authenticate with ICAT 4.1 (database table only authentication) with TopCat 4.2.

In Table TOPCAT_ICAT_SERVER the following rows has been introduced:

AUTHENTICATION_SERVICE_TYPE

AUTHENTICATION_SERVICE_URL

because I don't now reasonable values for this fields I tried to set them to NULL value.

PLUGIN_NAME and DOWNLOAD_PLUGIN_NAME are also NULL.

NAME = JCNS

SERVER_URL = https://apps.jcns.fz-juelich.de:8181/ICATService/ICAT?wsdl

VERSION = v410

I attached my glassfish topcat server.log file to this mail. It should just contain messages about

the failed authentication try.

I applied for the topcat-developer mailing list to ask this questions but until now I was not accepted.

Currently topcat does not support icat 4.1. Support for 4.1 should be available by the end of next week, if not sooner.
