Hi,

A couple of issues re: the use of Assets Hierarchy...

  1. When I have to reload a page containing an Assets Hierarchy panel (e.g. due to a change in the underlying ontologies), the tree is collapsed to the root nodes.  The same thing happens if I navigate to another tab, e.g. Settings, and then return to the asset collection view (e.g. Data Graph).  Is it possible to preserve the state of the tree?
  2. When I have multiple instances of the Assets Hierarchy panel in the same layout, when I reload the page or navigate away then back (the same as above), the root node shape for all Assets Hierarchy panels is reset to the same node shape.  This makes it impossible to define a layout with multiple Assets Hierarchy panels, save the layout and then return to the layout later.  Having different hierarchical views of the model is important for many use cases.  Can we make each instance of Assets Hierarchy be independent with full preservation of the state?
Thank you for your consideration.  Improvements such as these are critical to improving the user experience of EDG.

Tim

Hi Tim,

you are right that the Asset Hierarchy panels do not preserve their status. I have filed a development ticket to improve this for a future version.
