Is there a way to make a rdfs:comment within a workflow italic, or is there a property that results in something like a cursive comment?

I tried edg:description (and added the appropriate prefix) but apparently that violates constraints set for workflows.

Thanks for your help!
Regards
Julia

I guess this depends on what type of instances/assets you are adding the rdfs:comment to. I just tried it for a skos:ConceptScheme, and there I get a rich text editor resulting in an rdf:HTML literal that preserves the formatting

This is available for any class at which rdfs:comment has a sh:datatype including rdf:HTML.

If it's unclear, would you share a screenshot about where you want the italic font to be used?

Holger

Hi Holger,

I think rdfs:comment must work differently for workflows. It works just as you described in other classes (I just added a comment to a graph and one of it's instances). However, when I use it in the workflow ttl file, it simply writes out the code.

I have added some screenshots below
This is what it looks like in the edg, when opening the edited version increment workflow in textual view.

This is the code ("HTML;" is cut off in the screenshot, my apologies)

Thanks

Hi Julia,

thanks for the screenshot, which perfectly clarifies what you mean. In this part of the UI, we only support plain strings, and that is a design choice because the comments are meant to be part of a sentence only, while the "It means that" is hard-coded. If we were to allow arbitrary HTML such as yours, it would break the layout, e.g. the <div> would cause a line break, and also complicate the other places where these comments are displayed.

So I am afraid this is limited to plain strings, without formatting.

Holger
