Dear all,

I am working in both 6.3 and 6.4. What is the proper way to use an ontology in 6.4 that is created in 6.3?

Regards,
Richard

Hi Richard,

What do you mean by “ontology”?  SHACL?

FWIW I regularly use SHACL ontologies created in 6.3 that work perfectly in 6.4.  What are your concerns?

As usual, there is a Migration Checklist:

Cheers,
David

David,

Good to know that normally 6.3 to 6.4 has no issues.

I mean with ontotogy, the data type ontology in EDG, so including SHACL.

The issue I have is that no classes that are made public are available in the data graph editor. I think it might be cause by my workflow:
  • create onto in EDG 6.3
  • export onto from composer 6.3  to some place
  • import onto in composer 6.4
  • include in EDG 6.4 onto
The import and include did cause my issue. Now imported the ontology file into a newly created ontology in EDG; that worked fine.

Thank you for limiting the range of possible causes.

Kind regards,
Richard
