Review: Shift Weight Mastery has been a compelling force in my life. It not only has given me control over food, but confidence in my approach to other obstacles. I'm kinder to myself, have learned to avoid self-criticism, and maintained a positive attitude with myself and toward others. I'm simply a happier person.
"Diets" and passing fads about how to lose weight had simply added to my struggle with food, and caused me to feel I would never be able to lose weight and keep it off, constantly going up and down the scale. Shift Weight Mastery changed all that and my definition of diet. I learned how to control my eating, not having to sacrifice or give up foods I enjoyed, and maintain a healthy way of life.
I was fortunate enough to participate in the 30-day kick-off 5-years ago, and was successful losing 8 lbs the first month, and then a pound a week after that. Sometimes I would hit plateaus, but because I was a Weight Mastery apprentice, I knew I had gained many tools to get past those plateaus.
But even more than all of this, reading this book cemented my understanding of how my inner thoughts affect my relationship with food. I know that I will come back to this book again and again for inspiration and guidance. I have now lost a total of 45 lbs, and have a little way to go!

Review: I released 22 pounds while doing the 30-day Weight Mastery Process, and I continue to release 1.5 to 2 pounds per week as I practice the skills I learned from this book. I made a decision on page 67 to change the way I thought about myself and my struggle with food. As I continued reading, it became easier and easier. The hypnosis really helped keep me focused. It was like a daily meditation on making myself a priority. I have tried so many things and was afraid the struggle was what defined me. This book helped me "reframe" all my previous struggles as part of my success story! (p. 124) My success has only just begun. I have now released over 50 pounds since I started with the book and the process, and I feel better physically, mentally, and emotionally. I strongly recommend this book and the 30-day process for anyone who desires mastery in their relationship with food and eating.

Review: If you invest the time and energy into going through this process, you will absolutely transform your relationship with exercise and food. There's no magic bullet to weight loss, and the quick fixes, powders, fad diets are bound to do more harm than good, but Rita sets you on a path to success through a careful examination of triggers, emotions, and healthy habits.

I'm so grateful that I've had the opportunity to work with Rita and go to her directly for counseling after reading the book. Before the shift process, I would come home from work and mindlessly wander around the kitchen, looking for something eat - not because I was hungry, but because I was bored, and had conditioned myself for that "I made it through the work day reward". Even as a former D1 athlete, I didn't really enjoy going to the gym, and I often struggled to make healthy food choices (especially when stressed).

Fast forward to 2 months after the Shift process and I don't go for the fridge, or the jar of peanut butter when I come from work. I eat a healthy balanced dinner and don't stress eat - instead drinking a water/tea and going for a quick walk. I still make mistakes, but these aren't the end of the world and thanks to Rita, I don't let them derail my day, my week, my month, or my life.

In the past 2 months, I've released 10 lbs, began working out 4 days a week consistently, and changed my relationship with food. I'd recommend this book to anyone that's looking for a lifestyle change and a healthier outlook on life.

This very comprehensive book connects you with Rita’s online site, audio meditations & hypnosis that are key in this weight release journey that will become your new lifestyle. Rita takes you step by step with this process to go from being a Weight Struggler to becoming a Weight Master, Through this everyday process you learn skills to eat within your “calorie budget”, connect with your “inner coach”, keep your environment set up with healthy foods for success, & create a way of eating to nourish your body. You practice shifting your “ fat” negative thinking to “thin” thinking with solutions & strategies. You listen to & practice new thoughts & language , such as; “release weight, feeling lighter, more confident, show up for yourself, thriving, not depriving yourself, SHIFT breath, forgive yourself, huddle to plan & refocus & find a solution”. This is not a trend or a diet, but a practice of thinking & eating to live with a purpose while feeling lighter, confident and masterful.

A friend of mine and I have gone through several weight loss programs, when she invited me to buy the book and try Rita's method I was reluctant to do so; through a lot of persuading from my friend I decided to do it ( I needed to lose weight to lower my blood sugar). Rita's book exceeded my expectations; I am releasing weight, my blood sugar has gone down and I am changing many eating habits.
Rita's book was the missing link to my weight loss.
