Welcome! Lets have some fun and make some rugs!

I started this group because I've always loved making these rugs, but
haven't found a single website our group dedicated to making them.

Besides making them, I've been teaching the craft and improving on it
for years.

This group is intended to be a companion to my tutorial site, which is
home.comcast.net/~recycling rugs/

I like to call them recycling rugs because...
1) Modern toothbrushes are so ergonomic its almost impossible to
make a good needle from them!
2) It highlights the fact that with this craft, you can take trash
items- worn, stained, or damaged clothes, plastic bags, even ruined
hosiery- and make a beautiful rug which will last DECADES.

I'm still working on revamping my website and its tutorials, but I
thought it was worth while to get a group going for questions and
answers.
