Starting early, throwing it out there! Putting it out early, if anyone is flying in to SeaTac Thursday night  / Friday morning, would love to coordinate meet up to ride share to the ferry. Or sit next to each other on the shuttle to the ferry. 🙂

I think. Still brainstorming.

Flixbus from PDX to SEA TAC
Shuttle SEA  TAC to Ferry (oof the time though)
Rideshare SEA TAC to Ferry (if someone is renting a car, gas share?)

Input, Johnny 5 needs input.

I'm considering it. Haven't bought a ticket for this year yet.
Got a Honda Element that officially seats 4, and can hold a lot of stuff on the roof.
Currently in Bremerton...

Hi all! My fiancé and I have never been to Toorcamp before and are extremely interested in going, but we're trying to figure out logistics. How does bringing 5 days worth of food/water, plus a tent and other supplies generally work without a car? We're trying to find people to carpool with (and we'd be happy to pay for gas and things like that). If anyone is available to carpool (or is a super tetris packer or something) please let me know!

Check out the wiki: https://wiki.toorcamp.org/Main_Page

Clean potable is available on site (and there's always the sea, if'n ya dare — the otters are absolutely shameless).
Food is available on the way, nearby, and sometimes onsite. Even a small cooler can hold a lot of calories for a week.
You won't need as much as you think. Overall, less is more. There is redundancy and potential for sharing.

I like hammock camp, so personally I bring my hammock + tarp + clothes + ultralight cook kit + a small folding table (maybe) + whatever electronics/gear.

Many folks organize together into camps, in order to spread the logistical burden. Some of the more organized long-running camps provide food service as a core activity...

I just got a cool hammock for free, and a thick sleeping bag, even though it doesn't zip up. But a footed hoodie onesie would fix that. :P

I'll be flying in Monday night, renting a car, and driving up on Tuesday, I think. I imagine there won't be many folks wanting a ride up that early, but I can take stuff for folks, and I'll have room coming back Sunday, too. I rent with National, so I usually grab something on the larger side like a midsize SUV or minivan, depending on what's available in the exec aisle, which means I'll probably have a fair bit of space to spare, but I also won't know how much til I get there.

On supplies, I generally just pack food for breakfast and snacks (especially high protein quick snacks for when im heading to bed and realise I forgot to eat a real meal), and enough drinks/mixers to share. There's generally camps you can donate to/volunteer with that serve community meals, and IIRC, the resort had their cafe operating, too. I think Ada's usually does a pop-up, too? If there's one thing I always end up bringing home unused, it's food, but I'm also prone to forgetting to eat when I'm having fun. YMMV.

Checking in From Portland, OR but able to be in the Seattle area for pick up too. Need to figure out how to get me, and my small piece of luggage plus sleeping bag, to the Camp site from Portland (ideally, lets ride together, I share gas!) or from the Seattle area (Flix bus station downtown or airport?) on Friday? Anyone coming in just for the weekend ? Please contact me off list?

Eris,

I'm driving to Toorcamp from Portland and might be able to work out a way to fit you and your stuff in my Prius. Downside is I'm currently planning to drive up Tuesday to get everything set up for my workshop. If you have any interest in helping out, I can likely request your early entry. Ping me directly if you're interested.

Hi, this will be my first time going to Toorcamp, my friends convinced me to go and I will be meeting up with them most likely once I get up there. I will be flying into SEA, I am flexible about flying in Monday or Tuesday, or even Wednesday if need be, but will be needing to leave Sunday. I still need to actual book my flights and ferry tickets.

Please let me know if anyone has room for any ride sharing.

I am also looking to catch a ride from SEA. Haven't solidified tickets yet, so I'm flexible. Thinking the 25th or early 26th. I'll just have a backpack and can pitch in for gas
