Just wanted to send out an email regarding the news that we all received today about Mr. Tonk's moving onward. While this is very sad for all of us who consider the Tonkicus a high number on our "favorite teachers ever" list, he is also to be congratulated! Not only does this new position sound promising for a much more relaxing lifestyle, but he mentioned the time he'll be able to make up with his little babies.

Sorry if this sounds like I'm going off on a tangent, but I just wanted to let Mr. Tonk knows he's awesome and I'll really miss him next semester, and I know I'm not the only one. So, THANK YOU Mr. Tonk, for being a great teacher and mentor. Congratulations on your new job, and enjoy your time in it! We'll miss you!
Come back and watch us graduate. :)

Your Students

PS For a closing, I'd like to post this.

Some may get it, some may not, but it's very important. :)

i second that. mr. tonk you have changed our lives so much more thatn
you can think. and all though this is really depressing for your
students who love you, this is a great opportunity for you. so in this
bitter sweet moment i hope you dont forget us because we will never
forget you. enjoy your new life as you move on to bigger and better
things and dont forget to come to our graduation and dont forget your
spleen and all of our souls...we kinda need those.

Absolutely... We will miss you very much.

I have wanted you to be my senior english teacher ever since you and your wife started working at Cienega with my mother. I am so happy and feel so blessed that I got at least one semester with you. You are a fantastic teacher and will never be forgotten. Thank you for making a difference in my life. I really appreciate everything you do as a teacher. I hope the new job turns out to be something you enjoy and benefits your family. Thank you again and congratulations.

Just make sure to come back and visit.  We all expect to see you at graduation. If not, we will find you.  Haha.  Jk.  But seriously, good luck with your new job.  We'll miss you.  You're the best.

I will place a third on that motion! I wish you the best of luck on your new journey! Thank you for all that you have done for me, and for giving me a book list that goes far beyond my usual Wuthering Heights, Pride and Prejudice, you know, the usual! We will miss you very much!
