Now that I'm connected, and thanks for the confirmations. I would like some suggestions for my next JCO's reads. I fear there are so many I won't get to them in one lifetime.Haveread more of her later ones, most recen tCarthage, The Accursed, Mud woman, Gravediggers Daughter. dipped back for Missing Mom,The tattooed Girl,Little Bird of Heaven, ...remember The Mulvaney's as my least engaging and Middle age as the most amusing. I could really use an element of amusing... any suggestions or confessions?

Amusing? Try A BLOODSMOOR ROMANCE or (if you can find it) a short story collection called THE HUNGRY GHOSTS--published by Black Sparrow Press.

Two of my favorites:  My Heart Laid Bare and Because It Is Bitter and Because It Is My Heart (first novel of JCO I read).  Oldies and  goodies!
