JCO's "Retirement"

[Max Alberts]

Folks,

It sounds as if she "retired" unwillingly from Princeton. I simply don't understand how any university administration in its right collective mind could possibly let her go. She taught me at Windsor and taught me well, with love and humor and encyclopedic knowledge of literature. I remain forever in her debt. She is a great humanist.

Oh hi Max, oh she taught me too at Windsor. Class of 74. I heard from her and she like NYC. She has her own presto hand doesn't need a university to give her prestige.

You're absolutely right. Sh's ay Berkely, now. Her office looks out on the Golden Gate Brisge.

When I was at Windsor I lived in the dorm attached to Assumption Church. What I liked best about it was the fact that it was connected to the Grad Student Pub by a tunnel, so if one fell down and passed out on the way home one wouldn't freeze to death. Also, the pub had decent cheeseburgers.
