Hi,
I have tried a small case where I have one plate reflecting light on another plate.
I have two cases.
In case 1, the reflectivity of the plate is 1, and all other parameters are maximized for reflection. In this case, the number of photons hitting the reflector get reflected to the Absorber.
In case 2, the reflectivity of the plate is 0.5, and all other parameters are maximized for reflection. In this case, the expected result is that the half the number of photons hitting the reflector get deflected to the other plate.

But I have observed that the number is not exactly half. Is there some reason for this ?
I would like to use Tonatiuh for comparing geometries, so I need to understand the mechanism of reflection.

I have attached a comparison in excel as well as the result and case files.

Please give your comments.

HI Ganapathy,

I am trying to model similar cases to you on Tonatiuh. I tried to open you 'Flat_Plate.tnh' file but it had an error. Could you please re-send?

Tom
