to Tonatiuh - Monte Carlo ray tracer for the optical simulation of CSP systems.
Hello everybody,
Im just starting to work on my master thesis and i have already run into a big problem. As far as my research goes toniatuh is -until now- only used for simulating direct normal irradiance for concentrating systems. In my thesis i try to use the program for a non-concentrating sytem in order to optimize its performance. So also the diffuse radiation becomes important.
My problem is now: Is it possible to simulate the diffuse irradiance in toniatuh? Normally this is done by simulating a matrix of light sources on the firmament. In toniatuh its seems impossible to implement other light sources than the sun itself...
If anybody could point me to a solution of this, i would greatly appreciate it.
