This link " https://code.google.com/p/tonatiuh/downloads/detail?name=HeliostatsCircularField.tnh&can=2&q=  " has heliostat circular field.

Can someone please upload the script for this file so that the position & numbers of heliostat  can be adjusted easily?. It will takes days to adjust the position of all heliostats if script is not used.  Thanks in advance, Regards

Dear Nav Jha,

There is no need for such an script. Tonatiuh provides a Wizard for the generation of heliostat fields. You can access it via the Insert menu. The path is Insert>Componenet>Heliostat_Field_Component. I will try to produce a tutorial about the use of the Wizard within the following days. However, I encourage you to play with it, because is almost self explanatory.

Furthermore, in the Tonatiuh wiki you can find a tutorial explaining how to generate a heliostat field using the scripting capabilities of the program, you can access the tutorial via this link: https://code.google.com/p/tonatiuh/wiki/TutorialSmallHeliostatsTowerUsingScriptv2

I hope the above information is helpful to you. Thank you for using Tonatiuh and for sharing your questions about the use of the program in this forum.

Best regards,

Thanks for your reply Manuel. I managed to insert components(i.e. heliostats without their trackers) into the tonatiuh using the wizard. I generated text file from matlab which contains the heliostat coordinates. Also, in tonatiuh, I created a  single heliostat (without its tracker) and then saved it using 'Save Component' option. THen set the Aiming point from main window of wizard.

I got it working, BUT now how do I analyse the output at receiver.? I know how to analyse if receiver is just a flat plane. BUt in this case, it is a cone. So, how do I analyse the outout , heat generated, temperature at receiver etc.  PLease reply asap.

Thanks
Regards
Nav
