I have been attempting to download the autocad application on to my laptop and it has not been working. The download process will get to around 300-400 MB and then stop, saying that the installation is complete and that some files failed to download, with red "X"s by every portion of the application. I have done a system wipe of all autodesk applications and files multiple times to no avail. I do have the educational license and am in desperate need of getting CAD downloaded properly on my computer so that it may be used for design projects for school. I have attached the message that pops up for me via a screenshot. Any information would be helpful. Thank you
I am a registered Autodesk student community user and have successfully downloaded AutoCAD before (through the old downloading tool). Now when I try to download through the student community free downloads page, I get a long, thin white bar with a [CLOSE] button and nothing else. Nothing seems to start automatically downloading either. What's wrong?
I can navigate to the download page, but there is no button to download for any of the autodesk products through the student page. I have tried IE, Firefox, and Chrome, but nothing works. How do I get the download button to show up?

Trying to install AutoCAD 2013 and no luck tells me that there is an error, I get it to download I think, but when it goes to install it freezes up and then I get the error that Windows Explorer needs to close and a screen comes up and says that all the programs have failed to install, Im falling behind in class!! PLEASE HELP!! Tried clearing cache, etc.....other browsers, browser download, download now, eetc....
My initial suggestion to anyone having issues downloading or installing software from the Education Community is to check that your computer meets all the minimum system requirements for that product. Trying different browsers and download methods, as ebottens has already done, is also a good option.

I have tried downloading 2012 AutoCad several times. I even tried 2013 version so I could use the DLM from AutoDesk to no avail. I get it "downloaded" to computer then it wants to download again, put in my codes & everthing seems fine. Upon " initialization " it gets several parts loaded/initialized & almost gets done loading/initializing " autocad" & then " error code 2738" pops up & starts backing out the download for both versions. I am running Vista /AMD Sempron Proc LE-1250/2.2GHz/2GB RAM.
I am trying to download the most recent version of Civil 3d (64-bit) and Revit 2013 (64-bit) and cannot view the "download" radio button on the Autodesk Student Community website. Is there anyway that you could send me links to download programs mentioned above? Also, I'm operating on a Windows 7 OS. Thank you for your time and help!

I saved a drawing for an assigment on the autocad web and when i was done with the drawing and the assigment was due i tried to save it straight on my computer but the file i saved on the computer disappeared and now i can't open the drawing because it says that the dwg file doesn't exist. so i thought it's okay because i have it saved on the web, but i can't download it and it seems like it's because it's a "dwgzip" file and i don't really have any more ideas to fix it. i would like some help with this because i spent a really long time on the drawing so i would be really grateful if anyone could help.
If you go to where you have the file stored on the web, do you have the option anywhere to rename the file? If yes, try changing the extension to either .dwg or .zip. Windows most likely won't know how to handle a ".dwgzip" file extension...antivirus/antimalware utilities may also block it as an unknown file type...
