We have a 34 tolly sport fisher and the finish on
the mirror backs have started to deteriorate. Wondering if anyone has had
similar problems and what the procedure was to remove and replace the mirrors.
(particularly in the head as it appears to be under the
molding)Thanks

In the humid environment of a boat, the finish will start to deteriorate
after 15 or 20 years (sometimes longer, sometimes shorter) and your only option
is to replace the mirror. It is cheap & easy to do, just take
measurements to a glass/mirror supplier. I cracked the mirror in our aft
head mounting a shelf above our bunk a few years ago. The hard part was
finding a quality supplier open on Saturday to cut the mirror.
