'86 Tolly port side starter

Replacing port side starter on a 86 sport Tolly. The boat is equipped with gas 270s (350"s) . I cannot figure out how to remove the starter bolt the right side (as looking behind the left engine) as the engine "placard" is in the way? Is the 50 volt breaker housing suppoed to cone out with the starter as well?

Any help would be much appreciated!
