Location of Bilge pumps on 1985 26' sedan?

Hi All - We recently purchased a 1985 26' Sedan.  It has two bilge pumps in the engine space, but I can't tell if the bilge is separated into a different compartment forward of the engine room as I would expect - which presumably would have its own bilge pump and access.  Our boat has a carpet which I would prefer not to pull up to see what I can see...but may be worth doing regardless to improve safety.  Anybody know if these boats have a forward bilge by design?

My 83 26 Sedan has two bilge pumps.  One Justin front of the rudder and the other a mid shifts under the cabin floor.  Is it possible to gently pull that carpet up and install snaps to hold it in place instead of whatever fastener is being used?  I'm using it simple 10 ft Runner right now just to protect the finish I put down on the cabin deck, but when I'm through with the restoration going to send in a template with a custom cut and bound carpet that I will install snaps into and that way the carpet will be removable.

For what it's worth I have a G Drive that has hundreds of photographs categorized into a systems kind of taxonomy if you're interested in looking at some of my documentation and photographs.

I have two as well in my 73 26. One under the engine with a float switch, and one under the cabin floor, without a float switch.

Brian - Thanks for the come-back!  Yes I would love to see picts/share ideas!  BTW - are you a USCGA alum?  I went to school and was in the same company as someone sharing your name…. Last heard of in Port Angeles. };  )
