The call to actions we sent out over the last three weeks have been effective in getting the attention of and educating legislators on how the proposed luxury tax will cause lasting damage to the maritime sector and cost jobs and
valued services for recreational boating.
We have another step to take regarding Senate Bill 5801 which includes an additional tax on boats in the form of a luxury tax. SB 5801 is still being considered by the House Transportation Committee, a hearing
is scheduled on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at 9am, in Olympia.

record your "CON" position on Senate Bill 5801.
Even if you've previously called and/or written your legislators, follow the prompts to make sure they see the long list of voters who oppose this boat tax.
