We have a 34 foot sedan. Our chain locker seems to be too small for our anchor chain and rode. We have 120 feet of chain and 100 feet of rode. The prior owner put in a partition in the chain locker, made of wood, that divides the chain on the starboard side and rode on the port side. The opening where the windlass feeds the chain into the locker only directs it into the port side of the compartment. If you have deployed any of the rode and want that stowed on the starboard side you have to feed it in by hand from inside the V Berth. It looks like he did this because he installed a wash down station on the bow and wanted to protect the underside from the chain. We took the partition out once, but it just piled up straight down, and we couldn’t get all the rode in. It was also very close to the underside of the wash down. We don’t really want to reduce the amount of chain and rode.  Has anyone had an issue with the size of their chain locker on this size boat?

I have same boat, and just added more anchor chain.  I now have 150' of 5/16 chain and 200' of rope.  It all fits into the one compartment.  Here is an interesting YouTube video I watched before selecting the type of chain and rope for this long rode.
Hope it helps.
