You gotta love the Mountains!

The Weather Bureau's forecast maximum temperature for Katoomba for
today was 10. At 6 am the temperature at Mount Boyce (that's
Blackheath to all intents and purposes) was 11.7. By 2 pm it had
dropped to 4.9. No snow, just drizzling rain. But then tonight's the
night for the carvery/seafood at Redleaf Resort, which is cosy, warm,
friendly and to a large extent oblivious of the weather outside.
Rozzie and I will hopefully share a bottle of Annie's Lane Merlot.

To David and many many thanks for the Melbourne photo essay and (real) essays too.all are simply suser and marvellous Melbourne piccies to make one proud of living in the city named after the man who was married to the Lady (err not quite one) who quoted that Lord Byron was 'mad, bad and dangerous to know .'

 

Only she was twice more in both those above fields..........Poor poor Lady Caroline Lamb..see Jeffrey Lynch' short story on the subject......'Lady.......,s Ball..... film (Caroline Lamb)  starring Sarah Miles.....early or mid seventies......is close to the mark...I think a famous 'TV doctor' played Lord Melbourne.who later on was (twice) to become Prime Minister of Great Britain....and confidante and (very) close personal friend of Queen Victoria.......many  their ages...they often spent hours upon hours (into the wee small hors at times) together...closeted and all ALONE!
