Sir Gawain and the Green Knight was the "featured article" on the
Wikipedia for yesterday (though as I post this it's still yesterday
from their perspective and in any case you can look up the article at
any time). It's quite long and detailed and it looks like a good thing
to read if you're planning on reading Tolkien's translation of it.

Still here! I will have a look at the article in question.

I've never read Malory's Le Morte Darthur. Should I? I have a dusty
copy on a shelf somewhere.

Was anyone else lucky enough to hear Richard Harland on the radio this
afternoon? He was being interviewed about the legacy of Arthur C.
Clarke. Incidentally Ted - Niven got a plug from someone (Jim) calling
in.
