This day (15 October) is the twenty first anniversary of the "Great
Storm of 1987" that, during the night, hit Britain and northern
Europe. This was very close to the night of the storm referred to in
JRRT's "The Notion Club Papers", some 40 or so years before the event.
Was it pure coincidence? or ...

I'm impressed Ted! - do you keep these dates in your diary?? Read the beginning of The Notion Club Papers and it gets even wierder. Has anyone read An Experiment in Time by J.W. Dunne? It may especially interest the more scientifically minded among us.
