Hi - we are going to try something different for the next ToledoWiki meeting.

Instead of a general edit party, we are going to focus on HISTORY and will have a special guest, Arjun Sabharwal from UT and Toledo's Attic, to tell us some of the things going on. We will discuss how ToledoWiki might support other efforts. We will focus on editing history pages.

We are still working out the details. Early draft: http://www.toledowiki.net/Edit_Party

Also, if this format is successful, then we would want people to suggest other topics and other guest speakers. Here is a page to help with the planning: http://www.toledowiki.net/ToledoWiki_Meetings

We had a VERY LIGHT showing this afternoon for the ToledoWiki meeting. Tony and I learned a lot about Toledo's Attic. Eddie was there, too.

My notes in the Past Meetings section of http://www.toledowiki.net/ToledoWiki_Meetings

We have some ideas for connecting with other history organizations to make some progress on that part of the wiki, but we need more people showing up for the meetings and participating.

Perhaps today was just a bad day (with Artomatic 419! and other things). Perhaps Seed is a bad location. Perhaps Saturday afternoons are a bad time. If we stuck with the current plan, the next meeting will be May 18th, but perhaps a change in location or time is needed.

What do you all think? What would it take to get you to attend the next ToledoWiki meeting? This Google group has 16 members, so I would like to see what we can do to get YOU there. Then we can see what the 200+ "editors" (Facebook group) think.

Hi all.  Bummed I didn't make it virtually yesterday; am working on final research projects and papers for this semester and blew right past it.

Keith great job with the meetings notes page.  I didn't know about HistoryPin before.

Linking to Toledo's Attic pages as a regular habit is a great idea.  A historical information template could be setup that explicitly includes a section for related links on Toledo's Attic.

I see Ed from Ann Arbor is listed on the notes page, he'll be around and talking at eChicago.

Good report.

The Artomatic was my reason, that and an errand. I do not think it is a location issue, I would think if it was someone would posted something to that effect. Hopefully it is not a case of too "cheerleaders" and not enough "players".

Hi all,

My apologies for not being able to make it to the meetings this month or last. I have been tied up with Artomatic nearly all the time I'm not at work for the past 2 months. Fortunately, this coming Saturday is the last day of the festival and after that, my obligations will lighten considerably.

Looks like it was an interesting meeting on Saturday!

I am hoping in May and June to spend some time working on outreach to civic/community groups and especially to make better connections with the Library and city/county.

Perhaps for the next few meetings, we can partner with specific groups and ask them to bring their membership - or we go to their meetings and have an edit party with them in their space. I'm specifically thinking that maybe the Toledo History Museum or the East Toledo Historical Society might be interested in learning more about ToledoWiki and contributing during a session of one of their regular meetings?

 Hi All:

It was a pleasure to have met Keith and Tony at the Edit Party, and I would like to suggest interdisciplinary tracks like history, architecture, art --> historic preservation of buildings, neighborhoods, schools, etc.
