MINUTES OF THE TOLA GROUP MEETING HELD ON JUNE 27TH 2014 AT NATION CENTER 1ST FLOOR.

PRESENT:

Norman Ondego-Chairman

Andrew Endovo- Secretary

Alfred Maina- Treasurer

Ekelemu Ewomazino- Investments Manager

ABSENT WITH APOLOGY:

Daniel Makau- Protocol Manager

MIN 1/27/6: FINANCIALS

• The treasurer will email the group's financial statement by close of business on 27th June
• Ekelemu to make his payment to the group of the loan advanced to him plus interest ac crued as agreed by 30th June
• On the grain trading business in Kitale, Isaiah Oyugi was to deposit Ksh 13,000 on 27th June as proceeds from the business. The investments manager was asked to share a detailed P&L account on this business venture by 30th June.
• Mrs Makau respectfully declined our request to have her run our financial books supporting the treasurer. In the interim, Ekelemu will step in and assist as Norman speaks to Diana to request her support in this task.
• The treasurer was asked to prepare a final P&L account on the chicken business so that the group can have visibility on any profits or losses made.

MIN 2/27/6: GROUP STRATEGY

• The group agreed to have a strategy meeting on 12th July to map out a long and short term blue print for the company. This will be a breakfast meeting at a venue to be advised by then.
• The Chairman and the Secretary were asked to identify a suitable venue for the same.
• Every member was asked to send through proposals on areas to be discussed, after which the secretary will collate and share one document to guide the discussions.

MIN 3/27/6: MEMBERSHIP

• The group unanimously agreed that the decision to open up membership to other interested people will be made once a solid strategy has been created.

MIN 4/27/6: PRE-QUALIFICATION FOR GOVERNMENT TENDERS

• The group would like to actively participate and bid for government tenders open to the youth. Alfred was asked to secure the required documents on behalf of TOLA since he has already gone through this process.

Apologies for taking long to respond, its been a very tough launch this one but God has come through and now the Telco is complaining that the traffic is too much for them to handle. We launched the 17th Operation this afternoon we bless God.

In regard to the meeting I propose the 19th of July.
