I am debating bringing a tent back.
Its not being used here.
Its a large two room (front is screened, no floor)
Could easily sleep 3-5 people.

Would be real helpful for any trips out to chiba or tohoku.

And I want to do some recreational camping in Japan anyway.

I have a 3 person tent, 2 sleeping bags (one suitable for -15) and lots of other
gear. Planning to bring at least one sleeping bag and backpack. But I'll try to
persuade her to send the rest somehow.

Presuming this is a modern tent that folds up into something that isn't huge and unwieldy, I think having one around could be cool. Bring that bastard back over the sea with you.

Might could it even be stored in the shed out back if it is large. What is that shed for anyway?

Don't ask questions about the shed!
