Interesting,
I actually wonder if there is a real usage for that in the near
future. I mean magnets, RFID, is all nice and shiny but I miss
something which even "normal" people would consider.

Instead of an passive RFID chip which somehow reduces the owner to an
object, a touch-init sensing/reading unit would be fun... you touch
something, and by means of some bio-compatible signal and a common
data protocol, a low amount of data will be exchanged with an object
(e.g. using low currents and an implanted current sensor) .
Read some sort of code from the object and your smartphone starts to
fetch automatically, all kind of infos from the web.
Touch a measurement device and seconds later you find the manual and
data sheet on your phone.
Touch a car and you get the manual, the next local workshop, the next
petrol station, etc.
Or the objects send small amount of data directly...touch it to get
infos like battery status, temperature, sensor readings, status
reports.

It would allow to interact with all kind of objects in daily live
hence it would be much more under your control since it requires a
physical connection by touching the object.

That would really be something interesting.

they are trying something on the line using eye-tracking technology:
google glasses,
the recent DOCOMO new phone project (http://newsonjapan.com/html/newsdesk/article/98437.php)

or the finger thing a la Minority Report
http://www.ted.com/talks/pattie_maes_demos_the_sixth_sense.html

I personally think that I'd rather wear a finger glove than having a chip implanted to interact with gadgets.

but I'd get the chip that makes you listen to radio stations straight in the brain,
like LOBO! (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lobo_%28DC_Comics%29)
:)

Your description reminds me of something I am reading in a phantasy book by Peter F Hamilton, called "OC tattoos".
They are essentially biological conductor tattoos, which allow surface integration with embedded (new use of that term) electronic devices within the body. There are a number of skin surface sensors as well, and the tats can reconfigure themselves.

among others, Philips also had fantasies about it:
