Hi all,

Trying not to steal the thread, but my take: I am fine with the present name.

But combine

and my feeling is that we still lack a way to document what we are in
a useful, presentable, searchable way. There were several attempts so
far with less that success rate as far as I remember. Having said
that, we have 432 members on FB and 317 members of this ML/group and
it has been steadily growing last year.

I don't care about platforms and middle-ware as long as it works
(produce what it is supposed to, doesn't misbehave and is not too
difficult to use) and I really like flexibility/openness (being able
to change how it behaves to suit my personal unique needs). That as
long as I don't need to maintain/develop/improve (then the list of
requirements grows 10fold), then I have a lot to say :-)

But as long as somebody steps up and takes (almost) full
responsibility for manging a website, we'll have to resort to what
disparate resources we have (website, this ML, G+, FB and so on). It
is a very difficult task, esp. for a diverse group like THS, requiring
a lot of time and dedication. But if somebody is ready to stand in the
line of fire - raise your hand ;-) You'll get to choose the tools and
platforms you like (and defend your choices). Based on those choices
you'll find less or more support from other members. Heck you might
even be able to start a proper team around the website! (can you
imagine that?)

Cheers,
Kalin.

o/

I am volunteering to analyze the mailing list and recuperate into a
searchable form the most important discussions -- call it a 'group
history' building effort.

[it is actually part of my day-job to do this kind of stuff]
