am thinking about doing a big book sale benefit thing at THS? Feb 20 &
21 in the two main rooms downstairs?

Maybe Consignment style. People bring books and whatever sells the
proceeds are split between seller and THS? great time to do some
spring cleaning and get some books out there. The Swet folks used to
do something like this I think... all prices fixed, I am thinking 300
yen paperbacks, 500 yen hard backs. we can start collecting books in
advance and do previews on types and what is for sale. Sellers would
have to mark with a sticker so we know who`s is Who`s for accounting.
maybe 12-8 both days? thoughts? anyone want to help me with this?
Groups could sell too. So I think my dems group will sell some stuff
too and raise money for DAJ and THS at the same time...

Great thing is afterwards both Blue Parrot and Book Off will accept
donated books so anything that is unsold and people don`t want to take
back can go to one of those shops for credit or cash

thoughts?

Sorry, pressed send to fast. One thing I was thinking is that with The
Akiba-Light project maybe we should either do this on just one day
(since we will be needed time to work and finish up before beg. of
March) or maybe we should look at dates at the end of March instead of
Feb?

I think end of March would be good, and I'll definitely have some books to bring!

Would it be possible to setup a holding space for the books? It would
be difficult for me to ship (and expensive) all the books I have
available.

But, if there is a designated holding space with some guidelines (like
how to mark the books with the owner, etc.) I could start bringing a
backpack full of them everytime I get over to THS, starting this
Sunday. By the time the sale takes place in Feb/March they would all
be there.

Absolutely, we will set up a holding area in a closet upstairs. I
think we will mark them with different colored stickers for each
person unless people want to donate all sales to THS, then needs no
marker. So go ahead, bring them along and I will bring stickers for
book sale when I go over later this week.

As for dates, let's do 3/27 and 3/28

speaking of dates... anyone know when MAKE:05 is?
