It's NZ written, a little spooky, a little shocking, a little naughty, very funny and ON SOON!
STIFF will be staged: Wednesday 17th, Thurs 18th, Fri 19th, Sunday 21st (matinee), Wednesday 24th, Thurs 25th & finally Friday 26th August.
*Tokoroa Lions will sell one of the nights for their group otherwise tickets will be available in a couple of weeks from Tokoroa Mens & Boyswear on Leith Place.
Rehearsals are progressing very well under Doug Blair's direction. A cast of 8 on stage, plus a choir of 5 ladies and a pianist, makes for a great mix of entertainment in this hilarious farce written by April Phillips.
There's already a buzz on the streets about it so make plans for your night out as you won't want to miss this one!

Reports are in that tickets are selling fast! (as expected) so race on down to Tokoroa Mens & Boyswear (now known as Tokoroa Clothing Company) and secure your seats.
On the 21st July some of the cast got dressed up, headed to South Waikato Funeral Services premises and had their photo taken by Artisan Photography. You will have seen this shot used in all STIFF publicity but for those that couldn't see too much as they drove past the billboards, here's how we all scrubbed up. There are plenty of costume changes throughout the play so well done to our wardrobe "mistresses."
The theatre is looking very "dressed up" as well and I'm starting to understand why this play has a cult following, complete with audience theme nights, similar to those of The Rocky Horror Picture Show when staged around the globe. I'm not sure we'll see that sort of thing in Manaia Street but you never know.
Final dress rehearsals this week as everything comes together. The choir joined the cast and between their terrific singing were plenty of chuckles. We're all having a ball but the real fun starts this Wednesday (17th). Don't miss it!
