When using Javascript functions associated with Flash objects in the browser, your best bet is to embed the code in the page
using the SWFObjects library found here:
http://code.google.com/p/swfobject/
This library makes sure that the object is embedded in a browser specific way which ensures that the JS events are properly
fired from Flash to JS.
This will fix your problem.
