You can back up content, data, and settings from your phone to your Google Account. You can restore your backed up information to the original phone or to some other Android phones. You can't use back up when you set up a personal device with a work profile or for work only, or when you set up a company-owned device.
Backups are uploaded to Google servers and they're encrypted with your Google Account password. For some data, your phone's screen lock PIN, pattern, or password is also used to encrypt your data so it can be backed up safely.
Your photos and videos are already available in Google Photos. But you can restore the rest of the data you backed up while you set up your new phone for the first time or after a factory reset. At setup, to restore your data, follow the on-screen steps.
If any Restore options are grayed out or you receive an error message, you may need to do some extra steps. One common solution is to check that your Android operating system is updated. To back up and restore your phone, it must run Android 8 or higher.
I was thinking if it's possible to instead of connecting the router to another fiber modem, I can connect it to my phone using the mobile data as the source of internet since the outage typically are not very long anyway. Therefore saving some money not having to subscribe to two ISP all the time.
In regards to having to open up a browser on my mobile phone to be able to view any files that are in the "Backups" section of dropbox..
This has made things very troublesome by not allowing everything to be read via the normal dropbox mobile app. I understand the principle of having the major "backups" be in a different segment of dropbox.. but it shouldnt be that hard to access all the files. Maybe inside the regular current Dropbox app, feature a button that allows you to actually open the files that are in this "backups" section? OR maybe create another "Dropbox Backups" app that will allow us to remotely view these backup files without having to go thru the hassle of opening up a browser on the phone and try and track things down?
If I search for a file from within the dropbox app, that is located in the "backups" portion... it will show up, but wont allow you to view it. Just throws an error, with no mention of having to actually access it via a browser even. It wont even allow you to go into the file info to be able to see exactly where its located or if it IS located in the "backups" portion. Its just tedious and a pain. There has to be an easier way.

I have Norton 360 advance on my Computer and Android phone. I can back up to Norton Cloud from my Laptop. Is it possible to back up from my mobile phone? Setting up a "back up set" on my computer allows to chose files, music and videos from drive C:/ or D:/. There appears to be no way to arrange a "back up set" from my Android direct or via the laptop. Can anyone please advise? Thank you.
