Is there a plugin that handles login via openid, facebook etc?

But Tog does not use authlogic. It uses reststful_authentication right?

Yes, making a version of tog_user based on authlogic is in our to-do
but isn't there yet.

We (as linking pahts) have started to use authlogic in some projects
and looks promising. We haven't develop any social network in the past
few months, so not many improvments on tog from our side, but this
should change in the coming weeks/months.

How would I go about switching out the authentication scheme?

Could I just install authlogic and delete the restful_authentication
lib or is it more complex than that?

It's a bit more complex than that, since some some helpers are used
and tog's admin uses some features from AASM (used by restful_auth),
but not very difficult.

We (you and me) could work in a fork of tog_user if you want to help on this.

Lets do that. You can contact me offline if you want.

I don't know where you live but I live in New Zealand so it's pretty
late for me right now (just so you know the time difference). I will
have some time this weekend to work on this.

Another thought.

Would it be easier to add oauth2 to the current setup?
