Ok, so besides the printer and monitors and web cams, everyone keeps
mentioning the camera they want to use other than web cams... so i
know Laurence has said it uses live view camera... is that subject to
any live view camera, dslr live view camera or how does that work?

If anyone has done this, would you let me know what cameras you have
used and how the set up works? Im still trying to figure this out...
sorry for any ignorant sounding questions :D Any and all help is
apprecieated :D

Oh, and btw, how does this work with mac if its an exe file? i know
for sure it works with bootcamp... is that what that means that its
compatible with mac or is there just something im missing....

No stupid questions. We are all working on this together, and there
are many things I don't know.

The first release will probably not be Mac compatible. That will
come later.

As far as the cameras. We had to pick a place to start. The canon
camera was the one we had the source code to work with.
It will work with the Pro 9000 (Lawrence's camera) and the canon.
Right now we are working on making those 2 function since they are in
the price range of everyone. Later we will work on other cameras.

Not sure what you mean by if it is an exe file? Don't know what
bootcamp is. More information please.

Lawrence mentioned this worked with Mac because of adobe air. I did
mention this to the programmer.

Hope this helps.

Oh, well I didn't mean for it to be a "stupid" question... I thought I
was commenting on the tofurious version for this specific question...

I did not mean that your question was stupid, or "ignorant", I meant
that any question was a good question, even if we didn't know the
answer to it at all.
We are are trying to get the best use of Lawrences program as well as
start from scratch. I am unaware of any camera other than the Pro
9000 that is being used with ToFurious.
Since so much of the discussion is related to rewiting the program, we
have kind of moved past updates on the Tofurious version.

The new software will be to use the webcam and it will be able to use the Canon G series cameras.  There will be a live view.  The Canon supports live view.  Other cameras will be integrated once the base program is set up.  Generally we are trying to get away from the webcam, though it is still an option.  I encourage you to read the other threads where we discuss what we are doing.  Right now I have the second prototype.  We are working on making it funtion in phases.

Do you know if the software will support the Canon Canon EOS 1000D
(aka Digital Rebel XS)? I know you said you were setting it up for the
G series. Just curious.

Thanks

Don't know, will put it on the list.  We are going to be adding as we go along, so it not right away, will see about being able to add it.

Does that camera support live view?

Linda,

I believe it does use live view - it is one of the most recommended
cameras to use in the breeze photobooth software... Just curious, I
will most likely buy the Canon G10 anyhow.

Thanks
