Working with Rodney Shelton and Marsha as co-songwriters, Keith came out of the box with a signature ballad that became one of the great love songs of its era."Kissing You" shot to the top of the R&B charts and established Washington as part of a new breed of romantic soul men. He followed it with the sexy duet, "Candlelight and You" with Chante Moore, and another solo hit, "Are You Still In Love With Me." His Make Time For Love album went solid gold.
Lisa never released a 2nd album. She got out of her contract with Electra by doing a few sountrack songs and she asked to be let out of her contract.
I'm sure she probably made more money as a background singer. At one point, she was a highly sought after background singer. She has done almost every Rolling Stones tour, so I doubt she's hurting. She also toured with most of Luther's tours (except for the last one). Look at her bio on wiki, you will see she has a big resume.
i love keith w. although i was just a teen when this came out, i Knew for a fact that this was the way a man was supposed to love a woman! the songs of the new millennium lack that true connection and vulnerability that come when you love someone. Men today have a hard time expressing this. Great memories!!!
