Hi,

I've been playing with todoist and loving it, but can't find a way to
list all the tasks that do not have a due date associated with them.
Ideally, I want to see everything for today and tomorrow and
unscheduled. I quite often have tasks that I want to do kinda soon,
but don't want to allocate a date. I tried giving them a tag such as
@soon, and then seeing 'to, tom, @soon', but that only gets tasks that
are due today and tomorrow and with tag @soon, rather than in addition
to @soon.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Jemima

Hi Jemima

Yes, there seems to be some inconsistency with the query box like you
say. For example, if you query for two dates like "tod, tom" you get
both day's tasks as expected (logical OR). But, if you query for two
labels eg. "@soon, @phone", say, then you only get tasks that have
both labels (logical AND). If you mix a date with a label query, then
both parts have to be true to list any tasks.

However, what does appear to work OK-ish is if you give all your
undated tasks a priority level above the default 4; say 3, (or 2 if
you can't stand green!), That still leaves 1 for important tasks. Now
if you query "2days, p3" it should list OK. Interestingly, swapping
the query round also swaps the listing i.e. "p3, 2 days" will give you
the undated items first.

And you can get a bit fancier with "overdue, 2days, p3" to include
overdue items, although the display of overdue items gets a bit messy
with items less than 6 days overdue in my current list forced to the
beginning of the list and items 6 days or more overdue (tut tut, I
know), are forced to the bottom of the list. Not sure why.

Personally, I would have liked to see an option to list the next
action/task in each Project (the item first in the list in each
project) which might be useful.

Cheers

Kevin
