Dear Chris,

The Open Compliance Summit (December 6-7, TKP Garden City Yokohama, Japan https://events.linuxfoundation.org/events/open-compliance-summit-2018/ ) is held annually in Yokohama, Japan. It provides an excellent opportunity for Linux Foundation Members in the APAC region to share knowledge around open source compliance matters and to build connections that streamline interactions between companies of all sizes in all sectors.

Our theme for 2018 is “Practical Compliance in 2018 – Market Trends, Case Studies and Shared Solutions”

The call for speaking proposals is open through September 15th. If you are interested in sharing your experience with this audience, we’d like to hear from you. Here are the dates to remember for updating your mail:

- Best practices for management of compliance through product lifecycles
- Emerging standards on software asset management
- Tools for analyzing code to understand compliance implications
- Methods for informally and formally resolving compliance issues
- Strategies for handling interaction between open source and proprietary licenses
- Implications of compliance precedents established in global courts
- New challenges: Cloud, Containers, Open Hardware
- Company compliance case studies
