Well, but there is something I don't understand. I only need this software for wi-fi and I checked its related folder in programs folder measure 420MB. As a comparison, the full fledged Photoshop CS6 measures about 510MB . I find Playmemrioes is too big for what it does and moreover, is is excessive to force users to use such a large software for only a small driver/utility they need for wirelessly moving files from camera to their computers. I don't need any other functionality of this software whatever it is (media browser, etc.).
I have a sony vaio laptop model SVE151D11M installed a new window 7, 64 bit due to backup file damage or missing now I have no software backup, (vaio care, vaio update, vaio gate, no vaio camera Driver, no bluetooth Driver, no smart gate or gadgets software and no touch pad software) so please send me the link for complete software/drivers download which i install as like new laptop as company's install
I am not satisfied from your reply, please guide properly according to the Model: SVE151D11M Product Name: SVE 1511C5E, of my laptop. It's quite strange that you could not search this model type not even by me... How could it possible and what are the reasons behind even though I have a complete invoice detail on which Model Number SVE151D11M as well as Serial No. 54287073 0001792, Product Name: SVE 1511C5E, are mentioned, directly purchase from (Registered Office: Sony Europe Limited, A company Registered in England and Wales Registered office the heights, brooklands, Weybridge, Surrey, KT13 0XW, United Kingdom, No. 2422874) so please guide me in a proper way and provide me all the drivers/ software's of this model, so that I could be able to use my laptop properly and easily.
Make no mistake PLEASE this is a valid vaio model number. the laptop is not and has not been able to access vaio support because sony support dose not recognise it no updates for about 2 years and now the machine is in trouble. If youthink I will buy another sony machine I WON'T it has performed prety much faultless but your customer support is rubbish.
I've updated the TV to the latest firmware that enables VRR for the Sony A80J, then I've updated the drivers to the latest release 22.4.2, then i've enabled the enanched format on the TV(VRR option) but in the Catalyst Driver there Is no toggle for VRR, but only the one referring to Freesync that the Sony doesn't support.
With the VRR toggle enabled in the AMD drivers (and no other changes), the test line was rock solid in the same test case. There was some visible tearing as I reduced the frame rate below 48 FPS, consistent with what I saw running RE8.
But as VRR only works in TMDS mode with AMD drivers since years, you are limited to 4K60 8 Bit. For Fixed Rate Link (everything higher than 4K60 8Bit) VRR does just not work. Driver shows VRR as enabled with support from 40-120 Hz, but the image will tear.
Thank you for the information! I've read a lot about 22.7.x and 22.8.x beta drivers and there are tons of complains from 6xxx users about broken openGL and hardware accel right in the common desktop programs like MS edge. It's like AMD tries to prove that these are BETA drivers. Scary to update. Gonna wait for a WHQL one with, hopefully, fixed hardware accel and openGL stuff.
To update the current situation: sony 77A80J, firmware v6.6070 (latest as of now), win11 pro 22h2, 6900xt drivers 22.11.2 latest available for 6900xt and whql certified. TV is plugged directly via HDMI to port 4 with VRR mode in the TV settings enabled for port 4. Radeon driver settings recognize a VRR-able panel "right from the box" and allows to tick VRR settings to ON/OFF. However, as @cvzone kindly reported above, VRR physically works only at 60hz mode. Actual FPS must be capped below 60hz (e.g. at 59) to remove all screen tearing. Overall, it is unusable, because few games (which you would play on a tv) allow to cap FPS and third-party FPS-capping apps introduce lag comparable to vsync making them senseless. The best option as of now is to play at VSYNCed 120hz mode and, if your game/hardware is not 120fps stable, enable "half vsync" (at least tomb raider games support it), which outputs each frame twice thereby providing stable tearfree 60fps with a lower input lag due to 120hz mode.
It is selectable, selected and indicated as working but in fact it does not work, there is still screen tearing. VRR and Freesync are trademarks owned by different companies under which trademarks they market their implementation of VESA Adaptive Sync technology. They are similar but not the same. PS5 supports VRR but won't work with a freesync-only monitor, radeon rx 550 supports freesync but won't work with a VRR-only TV (like sony bravia).
Wow, guys! Just clean-installed the new 23.2.1 whql. Looks like 120hz VRR is up and running! Tested the windmill demo at 60fps, actual fps is about 60.5, and when you click the freesync toggle it removes the tearing and you can see a slight gamma shift which is a known side affect of the working VRR. Before the new drivers the windmill worked only at 60hz mode at 55fps. Tested in Rise of the Tomb Raider and it is also smooth as butter at flactuating fps from 70 to 110 (4k, 120hz, all maxxed out, SMAA). Please check and report with your rigs.
I need a help regarding fn key. I have vaio-pcgfx390k and installed XP pro on that. I don't have HKServ.exe app installed (i didn't use sony's disks). Hence i am not able to use the Fn key facility. I searched sony support etc. but of no help. Would it be possible for you email/host the exe/zip from where i can download it. It will be very helpful to me if you can share that app. Please email me the download details to . Or suggest on where i can download/install it from.
To begin with, on more recent sony laptops (such as the VGN FS line), the service is called 'hkcmd' or something to that effect. So if you are using a sony-made computer, and your hotkeys (like 'Fn' or the 'S1' and 'S2' keys) are working, and you go into the 'Processes' section of the Windows task manager, and you see 'hkserv' or 'hksrv' or 'hkcmd' or any of those in uppercase, it means your hot keys are functioning well and good and fine and everything will be okay, and you can sit back and enjoy a chocolate milkshake at your kitchen table while sifting through your mail or reading the newspaper and everything will be alright.
You can get the driver for making your hotkeys work by going to
-system.pl?PRODTYPE=24&NAVDISP=pc and entering in your model number, so you can access sony driver downloads, user guides, Frequently asked questions, technical specs, product alerts, and other stuff about your laptop.
Most of you people already seem to have cleverly decided to figure out your series and model number before asking for help, so you probably won't need to download the 'detect my model' thing, and you can skip the rest of this paragraph. If you don't know your model number, you can find it out by downloading their program, or, if you still have your 'vaio control center' on your computer (which is, don't worry, a helpful thing), you can just go to that. Now I'm not sure how older versions of this were designed, but in mine, you can just click the 'system information' category, and click the little gear icon with 'system information' next to it. And under 'Product information' and 'Model' will be your series and model. Select that on the esupport.sony.com website using their dropdown menus or such.
Anyway, to get the sony-specific drivers for your computer, or for your hotkeys in general, click the 'Drivers/Software' tab on their page. From there you can get the drivers which came with your computer, drivers which are updates for the ones you already had, or get all the drivers ever for that computer in one 'everything' list page.
Windows can typically use your laptop fine without your manufacturers drivers on it, but it greatly helps to have the actual drivers and hardware management programs which came with the computer, as that usually allows you much greater control and ease-of-use when it comes to using your computer, and much less bugs and errors. So if you erased your computer and reinstalled windows or something, or if you updated to XP from an earlier version (such as with the PCG-FX case listed in this thread) now would be a good opportunity to download all of the drivers. Sony will have a guide on doing that, and plaease do so.
Specifically, if your computer came with something earlier than windows xp, Sony will have a specific page on there for drivers for people who upgraded to windows xp. Sony will have a guide to help you along with this, I don't need to tell you about it, the instructions exist, follow them as if they were the bible, the Qu'ran, and the sacred scrolls of Boshmop the great all put together. In other words, if you updated to, or reinstalled windows, stop reading this post, go to Sony's page for downloading drivers for your computer, and read sony's instructions for 'Windows XP Clean Install' and listen to them.
