HItoday I went into intel driver & Support Assisant I waited for it to scan my dell laptop. Today it came up with a Graphics driver for my laptop. So I let it download first and then I pushed on the installation wizard. Then after the terms screen I pushed next. The next screen showed what the intel graphics intaller was going to install. It said it was going to install the graphics driver, intel command center. What I want to now is whether I should check the box to excute a clean install. Is it safe to do this I do not want to mess up my dell laptop.
In your case, my advise is not to check the "clean install" box. By doing this your currently installed driver will be uninstalled and you will loose the ability to roll back driver in case that the new one will not function correctly. You should be aware (this is also explained in the Detailed Description on the Driver Download page) , that this is Intel Generic Driver and you may loose all customization prepared by the OEM for your laptop. Therefore, it is advised to use graphics drivers from the OEM site.
You should not describe your problem in this thread, since you may have other computer. Any way, if your computer works OK, in my opinion you may disregard this Windows Update errors. Those are Optional Updates and better to disable it. Download and install Drivers from the OEM site rather than from Windows. The Microsoft Catalog is not always updated.
I use windows Insider, so I usually update my computer and I don't want to be incapable to do so. Am just asking if I can use sfc /scannow or DISM /Online to fix it because I saw online that the Error is either "missing files in the Windows Update or Windows Update can't locate the Microsoft Software License Terms". So am assuming It's the first one.
I didn't wrote "you should not describe your problem here" but I wrote "You should not describe your problem in this thread, since you may have other computer." This some one else thread with other problem, other hardware and could be other solution. So, I meant to say that you should open a new thread.

I've been having some problems with my laptop, overheating and stuff. I would like if someone could help me with this too, but this isn't the main problem. I supposed that maybe my drivers weren't up to date so i tried to intall the intel driver and support assistant. However when i tried installing it, this messages appeared
If the workaround that @Reps has suggested doesn't work, you can download the installers for the runtime libraries from here: -us/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-170. I suggest that you download and install both the X86 and X64 versions of these libraries.
This is odd, when i tried installing the X86 version i got the same message that i get when installing the Intel Driver & Support Assistant ("The feature you are trying to use[...]"). Also, when i closed the message, this showed up
However i was able to install the X64 version with no problems. However i rebooted my PC and i still can't install the Intel Driver & Support Assistant (keeps showing the same "The feature you are trying to use is...")
I tried installing de X86 version after installing the X86 version but it still doesn't work. It looks like its something to tho with an older version of Microsoft Visual C++ that can't be removed? I dont have a lot of experience with this kind of stuff sorry. If you have any other idea i would be glad to hear
I tried the methods 1 and 2 and they sadly didnt work. For the method one the same "The feature you are trying to use..." problem appeared when installing the Intel Driver and Support Assisant, and for the method 2 this showed up every time i open a Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable program
I didn't try the method 3 because im pretty sure that that's what @Reps told me to do on 04-10-2022. I hope you can find something else that can help me with fixing this problem and ill try to answer quickly the netx time.
Sorry, im in a test period at highschool so i didn't really have time this past week. I'll try in like 1h because i have classes in 10 mins and ill try while im there. Thank you for supporting me, ill try to do it quickly.
After working on this case, we have determined this is not an issue with Intel DSA. We recommend you to contact the Original Equipment Manufacturer or Microsoft to check on the Visual C++ installation. Once installed, we can check Intel DSA if any issues.
In the meantime, we can help you to manually install the drivers you need. If you would like to do so, please run a report using our Intel System Support Utility tool, you can download it here: -System-Support-Utility-for-Windows-
I used to use the laptop for gaming about 2 years ago but stopped. Now I'm trying to get back into those same games and have found that they are incredibly slow - even with graphics at minimal. Some of the games tell me that my "graphics drivers are 597 days old" - which would match the date being shown as my driver date (5/19/2016). The problem is that when I go to intel to update my graphics driver, none of the ones I try (which I believe match my specifications) will successfully download because it tells me I don't "meet minimum requirements". When I try using the intel driver and support assistant, it tells me that there are no updates available. How can my graphics drivers be 597 days old with no updates available? Have intel stopped releasing graphics driver updates for my graphics card/processor?
I am resigned to the fact that I will probably have to purchase a new laptop in order to get a better gaming experience, but I just wanted to check whether I was missing anything obvious first. I'd appreciate any advice or assistance on whether I actually do have the most up to date graphics driver available to me or, if not, how I can go about installing one more up to date.
I have the same query and would like more info. My gaming manufacturer (Big Fish) after performing a diagnostics, directed me to an update for my Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit Service Pack 1, Toshiba Portege that has the Intel (R) HD Graphics 3000 installed; Driver Date 7/13/2015, Version 9.17.104229. When I tried to make the recommended installation I received this error message: "This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the win64_15.36344889.exe software." All devices I have checked say, "The device is working properly."
My real question is what, other than the graphics driver, would prevent my computer from downloading new games and not responding when clicking on a downloaded game. If the device is working properly, but is no longer supported by Intel, can that still be why I can no longer download and install these games?
As an aside, I ran this computer in Safe Mode and was able to open two games, Scrabble and Burger Shop 2. The former has no graphics to speak of. The latter has limited graphics. , Unfortunately, I do not know what to do with this information to fix the problem.
I have a 5 year old Inspiron laptop with the i3 2.40ghz 2370m processor and Intel HD 3000 graphics card. It NEVER made the list as being supported for Windows 10 by Dell or Intel. I UPGRADED ANYWAY to Windows 10 when it was released. I have had a great experience with only a few driver issues. Mostly during the first year W10 was released. Last few months I've been using a 4k HDR TV as my primary display w/HDMI. I noticed when I 1st connected it with the newer 2.0 HDMI cable the card read the resolutions it could use that my TV supports like wider xvYCC EXTENDED GAMUT. The result is a wider and deeper range of color overall.
TODAY I SUCCESSFULLY SET A CUSTOM RESOLUTION WITHIN THE INTEL GRAPHICS AND MEDIA CONTROL PANEL TO 3840X21260, REFRESH 30HZ, CVT-RB TIMING. I tried many different refresh rates but 30hz is highest the card accepted. I'll see over the next few weeks how the lower refresh affects viewing. I HOPE THIS HELPS OTHERS WHO MIGHT HAVE A SIMILAR SITUATION! I WAS THINKING OF GETTING A NEWER COMPUTER THAT SUPPORTS 4K BEFORE I TRIED THIS! THE DRIVER IS 9.17.10.4459
Having gone through the performance of downloading, and asking me if I really want to update to this offered version and replying in the affirmative, I am then asked if I want a typical, bespoke or complete installation.
In order to get better information about your system, please download the Intel System Support Utility (SSU). Run the SSU scan (check "Everything") and save the results. The .txt file with the results please attach to your post.

I have the exact same issue, and I know where this begin. When I installed Armory Crate from Asus. I have a z790E gaming Wifi. Since that day, there has been many errors in some software updates. For example: Ai suite installation or Fan Xpert as you wish to call it, presents an error message.
