my internet connection is broken on my main computer, so I can't
upload any of my maps or any of my custom objects, but I have a
question and an idea about toblo editing. I'll start with my question
first, in the gfxassets.ini file were you make colours for blocks and
models and all that, there is this diffuse and specular stuff, "[.
1,0,.191][1]". I have the basics of how it works, and am able to make
basic colours, like orange and purple, but I was wondering how I could
translate RGB into that, because I am trying to make an object from a
picture and need a specific colour. is it possible to get it with
photoshop? if someone could tell me how, or at least what that is
called so I could look it up, it would be much appreciated.

I'll be back with my idea.

Yeah this should be possible! Sorry for the delayed response, the team has been traveling recently and we havent had much internet access. If you are still interested in accomplishing this let me know and I'll hook you up!

yea, I am still interested, I have been thinking of making little
statues of NES characters like pit from kid icarus, and
hence need accurate colours. also I have I have thought up another
question since then: is there any way to get rid of the black border
around blocks? I ask simply because my little NES statues would look
alot better without the black lines running along them.

Hi GonadsOnFire,

My name is Ben and I did the graphics for Toblo. I might have
interpreted your question wrong, but are you trying to take RGB values
to the values used for the materials (0 to 1 range)? If so, it's
pretty simple. RGB values range from 0 (no color) to 255 (all
color). To translate them to 0 to 1 range, just divide the value you
want by 255. So, RGB[30,40,50] = 30/255,40/255,50/255 = .118, .157, .

Also, it's pretty easy to get rid of the black borders around the
blocks. They are just in the textures... not in the code. Make a new
texture without the outline, and you're all set! I don't have the
code in front of me, so I might have something off.... tell me if it
seems more complicated than that... haha
