Puppy Love Pet Sitting takes amazing care of our cat while we are away! I can actually relax, knowing he is getting loved on, played with and spoiled with treats. When we come home, he is calm and happy. They even took great care of our house by dripping our pipes when a cold front came

And because I wanted to get as close to her likeness as possible, I worked the sizing out on the computer starting with different size circles. I took a picture of my sketch and emailed to myself to lay over the circles in a graphics program called Indesign. The faces are slightly larger than the circles to allow for the size increase when the round cake balls are dipped in candy coating. Once I had all the sizes, I picked the one that would work best with the sprinkles I had on hand.
Once I had the starting size, I used the puppy drawing as a guide to hand shape the puppy heads. Just lay a sheet of wax paper over your reference and shape the cake ball to fit. I also used a lollipop stick to press holes into the shaped cake balls where the eyes would be. I did this for reference after they are dipped.
Then place the rainbow chip sprinkle in position for the nose and the confetti sprinkle in position for the tongue. (You could do these two steps after the candy coating sets by attaching them with a dot of melted coating, but the eyes look better if they are inset into the coating slightly as opposed to sitting on top of the surface if that makes sense.)
Hi! I have 3 gorgeous little Maltese who all have top knots with bows. Any suggestions about what would work for topknots and bows? I only use one ponytail and one bow (not the two tiny bows for adult show dogs).
Thank you!!

Smells like bacon & pb. My rescue dog is taking a while to get the gist of bubbles but I like them! I agree with other posters that it is troubling that while it says it's healthy Etc there is no list of ingredients
My 4-year-old, Maggie, recently said she wanted to play with our dog, Louie, in the backyard. Louie is a 100-pound, barrel-chested, 9-year-old yellow Labrador retriever with bad hind legs. Play is a rarity these days, so the outing didn't happen. But I was happy to hear her make the request. It was a first.
Louie was plenty feisty when Kate and I got him as a 1-year-old from Canine Companions; he didn't make the cut as a service dog, but he was perfect for us. I remember assembling our bed frame the day we brought Louie home. He didn't leave my side, resting his head on my leg as I fumbled with nuts and bolts. If I moved around, he waited until I re-settled, then put his head right back where it had been. Like most pre-kid pets, Louie was our baby.
I had a yellow Lab and then a corgi as a kid, and I loved those dogs. We all did (even my dad, though he wouldn't admit it). My sister loved our corgi so much she forced that poor dog into dress-up clothes and dragged her upstairs to sleep on her bed each night. We were dog people.
Instead my 6-year-old, Liam, generally ignores the dog, and Louie regards both kids mostly as an inconvenience unless they happen to drop some food. I can't blame him. They accidentally step on his paws and tail all the time. He never snaps at them, but I think it's only out of love for Kate and me. He's happiest when the kids are in bed and he can follow us around unimpeded. You can see it in his forlorn Lab face: "This is the way it used to be. This is the way it should be."
Liam is so indifferent to Louie he has recently developed a fear of dogs - even tiny ones. I can only explain this fear by his complete lack of interaction with Louie. It's as if Liam doesn't have a dog, and kids who don't have dogs often don't understand dogs.
Maggie is different. She enjoys interacting with creatures. She scoops up all manner of bugs. She keeps worms and pill bugs as pets. She asks to pet other dogs. She gives Louie treats and pats his head. She holds his leash on walks.
Louie spends much of his days sleeping. He has cysts hanging off his chest. He has trouble rounding corners on our hardwood floors. It's sad to watch him deteriorate, but his docile halcyon years may work in Maggie's favor. I'm holding out hope that if he sits still long enough for her to show him some love on a regular basis, she may start to believe me when I tell her dogs are better companions than pill bugs.

4. Metal utensils, scouring pads and abrasive cleaners should not be used on nonstick surfaces.
Love this pan and so does my dog. The day it came I made the recipe on the back for peanut butter treats so easy! And the pan makes the perfect size. Much easier than using a cookie cutter. You just fill, bake and unmold. The pan would make a great gift and homemade treats too!!

My wife and I like to stop into pet stores on our days off. We're both animal lovers, and we've found our version of joy by visiting exotic pets from all over the globe at animal retailers around Connecticut. One of our favorite places to stop was Puppy Love on Lake Avenue Extension in Danbury. I just saw very sad news, Puppy Love is permanently closing their doors.
I've met Puppy Love's owners Sean and Nancy Silverman many times over the years, in-store and here at the radio station, they're wonderful people. Sean and Nancy broke the news on their social media 5 days ago that after 27 years of operation in Danbury, they've decided to close their Lake Avenue Extension location permanently, and move to a direct business model. The Silvermans then announced that Puppy Love would remain open until their current selection of puppies found homes. Well, fortunately, or unfortunately for me, that end has come sooner than we'd thought.
