Dear VYC Participants from near & far,
What have you been up to? It's been a long time since we last gathered for Vietnamese Youth Convention (VYC). We hope that the spirit of VYC still holds a good place in your heart. We're thrilled to announce that we're having another one this year! VYC III will be held at CSU Long Beach, CA, on July 3 - 5, 2009. We are expecting about 3,000 young adults from across the US and many other
countries to attend this exciting and fruitful convention! We would love to see your familiar faces again.
Let's come together to meet old & new faces as we experience through a series of workshops on hot topics (social & religious) to heat up our faith. Our late Pope John Paul II had said to his young Catholic friends, "Be not afraid to break out of comfortable and routine modes of living, in order to take up the challenge of making Christ known." Indeed, "Be Not Afraid!" is our chosen theme this year. You may ask, be not afraid of what?
- Be Not Afraid to pursue the life of faith!
- Be Not Afraid to trust God!
- Be Not Afraid to stand for the right values!
Therefore, we want to invite all of you back to VYC III so that together, we will Name, Claim, and Proclaim our faith.
