IMPORTANT INFO

*****************************************************************

CHANGE OF DATE- SEND OFF DATE CHANGE: To consolidate the TNT events the weekend before you leave for STP, we have merged the Bike Drop and the Send Off Party.  Please save the date: Sunday, July 8th at 9 am.  We will meet at a location TBA in Palo Alto area then parade over to Tom Jelmyer’s house to drop off our bikes.  Please plan to be there, it is absolutely necessary that you drop your bikes on this day, plus you will need to pick up your event info and airline tickets.

STP BIKE SHIPMENT:  TNT will be handling all bike shipping logistics for STP.  All bikes must be broken down in bike boxes.  These boxes may be plastic cases or cardboard (bike) boxes.  EVERYONE needs to drop their bikes at Tom’s home: 621 High Street, Palo Alto, CA  94301 on Sunday, July 8th immediately following send off.  If you can not make it, you must find someone to drop your bike for you.

1)       Breakdown your bike at home and reconstruct it upon arrival in Seattle, breakdown your bike in Portland upon completion of the ride and reconstruct it when you return home.  To obtain a cardboard box for packing, you may ask your local bike shop to give you one.

2)       Tom Jelmyer from Velo Tech in Palo Alto will be joining us at STP and has offered to save you the hassle and box your bike for you.  The charge for bike boxing is: $125, and is well worth it. This fee includes, breakdown, boxing and reconstructing on both ends of the trip and will save you additional effort on event weekend.  If you are going to have Tom box your bike you must  call him to make an appointment ASAP.  You may reach him at 650-814-4866.

NEW!!! Bike Pick Up: Bike pick up will be at Tom’s home: 621 High Street, Palo Alto, CA  94301 on Sunday, July 22 from 11 am to 4 pm you must   pick up your bike during this time.  We will be unable to house the bikes after 4pm.

CHEHALIS CAMPING:  You will need to plan to bring a sleeping bag and sleeping pad (if you want one) for our mid-way Chehalis camping point.  Dinner and breakfast will be provided for you during your stay there.  There are shower facilities but you will need to bring your own towel.

*STP FINAL FUNDRAISING DEADLINE:  The final fundraising deadline for all STP participants is a little over 2 weeks away.  Now’s the time to make the final fundraising push!

If you have not met your minimum in Paycor as of now (ask your Mentor if you have), you need to give your Mentor copies of all donations that you have sent in. This is extremely important to avoid getting charged unnecessarily. If you have not turned in your minimum by July 5, you will be expected to donate the difference via the credit card or check you provided at the time of recommitment.  If you know that you will be short of your fundraising minimum and you expect to donate the difference yourself anyway, the easiest way to do this is to go to your Online Fundraising Page and donate to yourself.  This will make life easier for you, me, and your Mentor!  Once you’ve donated to yourself, if you need to, just give your Mentor a copy of your donation confirmation.  If you have any questions at all, please ask me or your Mentor.

If you have already met your minimum, keep going!  The money you all are raising is what will get us closer to a cure!!

COURTNEY’S SCHEDULE: I will be out of the office on Monday, June 25th.

FUN STUFF

****************************************************************

*QUOTE OF THE WEEK: : I have missed more than 9000 shots in my career.  I have lost almost 300 games.  On 26 occasions I have been entrusted to take the game’s winning shot…and missed.  And I have failed over and over and over again in my life.  And that is why…I succeed.”   - Michael Jordan

I am looking forward to seeing you on Saturday.

Go team!
