I am a novice to TNT. Can anybody please explain how to correct my script error that causes the following output:

Hi and welcome to the group
In TNT when you write your dataset, you have to first state the number of characters and then the taxa (xread 171 16) would be the right input for your intended analysis I guess.
Your file is currently structured to have a matrix with 171 taxa scored for 16 states, with 16 possible value states for each state. Soi t started reading your string for taxon 0, and only stopped when found a letter that was not expected in the possible state values ( 0123456789ABCDEF)
Fixing the string above should do the trick

Remove the underscores “_” between your taxon names and characters. 
It seems that it’s reading the first line as the taxon name, and then interpreting the second line (after the white-space carriage return) as characters. 
You need a whitespace (eg space or tab) between the taxon name and the characters, not “_"
