Hi there,
I do not have much experience with scripts, so I am probably doing something wrong. I am trying to calculate the per character consistency and retention indices. I've tried Peterson Lopes' script StatsAll.run and I am getting this message: Symbol '.' found when expecting number or expression. And I've tried CharStats.run and the message is: Can´t rename variables: 0 is theminchar */ var = 0 ThisTree. Can anyone tell what I am missing here?
Thanks

Hi Julian,
I've never used these scripts, but I suppose the first problem has to do with the use of "-" for inapplicable characters. Do you have these in the matrix? If so, you have to change that to "?", because TNT is unable to read inapplicables. You can do this while exporting a matrix from Mesquite to TNT, or also in TNT itself
I hope this helps,
Emanuel

Hi Julian,
I wonder if you download the file for use stats.run???
if you didn´t, you must download (i attached for you) and put the file in you TNT folder. Now run your analysis, after tath in the command line write proc stats.run, or you can open it as a file
