Positions are funded in full or in part by the Communities Putting Prevention to Work (CPPW) funds which is funded in total by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA). The CPPW project and related positions are funded for two (2) years.
Youth
and Outreach Program Coordinator
Community Food Advocates is seeking a program coordinator for our youth
program which aims to educate Nashville youth on food justice, food
access and food policy; engage youth in healthy food advocacy; and
empower youth to be active participants in our Healthy Corner Store,
Community Garden, and Food Policy Council programs. This position will
also work with program staff to support outreach and volunteer
activities for the three programs.
Healthy
Corner Store Program Coordinator
Community Food Advocates is seeking an experienced candidate to lead an
initiative aimed at increasing the supply of healthy foods in low-income
neighborhoods and promoting their purchase by engaging corner and
convenience store owners and community residents in leading store-based
food access and nutrition interventions.
Community Garden Program Coordinator
Community Food Advocates is seeking an experienced community garden and
urban agriculture specialist to provide technical assistance,
educational programming, and capacity building support for community
gardens, urban farms, and school and faith-based gardens in Nashville.
Administrative
Director
Community Food Advocates is seeking an experienced non-profit
professional to provide program, financial, and administrative oversight
for three of the organization’s program areas (Healthy Corner Store,
Food Policy Council, and Community Garden). The position will also
provide financial management support for the organization as a whole.
