We have an urgent opening for the above position with a leading Shipping MNC.
The brief profile is as below:-
Purpose & general responsibilities of the position:
A. Accountable for financial and non-financial targets of the business unit in South India which includes Andhra Pradesh / Tamil Nadu / Karnataka / Kerala
B. Build a high performing and efficient organisation following appropriate corporate governance standards
C. Provide input to the Inland services strategy on EMR South India
D. Formulate and execute business plans, aligned with EMR strategy, in order to optimise the financial performance, among other through attraction of 3rd party business.
E. Responsible for market leadership through sales and high level of customer satisfaction and service delivery in South India
F. Close interaction with other Group & entities on operational and tactical topics in South India
G. Responsible for compliance with the Group policies, standards and values as well as external regulations, including HSSE standards
H. Ensure that risks are identified and managed appropriately and timely in a structured manner.
Specific responsibilities of the position:
Business Development
* Identify, develop and ensure revenue enhancement, including sales coordination with external stakeholders in multiple locations across the Region South India
* Continuously review the market for new business opportunities and activities and convert potential customers to loyal customers. Submit investment proposals for management approval
* Implement new strategies, as applicable, within time, budget, scope and quality
* Pro-actively visit select customers, seek feedback and obtain new volumes
Business Management and analysis
* Lead business planning and budgeting for South India EMR to ensure KPIs, P&L and other financial targets are on track for the EMR business in the region
* Define short and long term business needs to determine business priorities
* Analyse profitability of the activity portfolio to identify strategic fit with all Container Business entities as appropriate
* Provide assurance relating to achievement of business objectives to management, among other through regular management reports and accidental if required
* Promote an error free culture within the organisation
* Execute a structured risk and control framework, including prevention of fraud
Execution Mindset
* Maintain constant focus on cost consciousness and seek out cost savings for EMR in multiple locations across the South India Locations
* Through professional leadership and open, constructive dialogue, manage conflicts within business unit, with external parties and within the EMR organisation.
* Seek out and implement process improvements in operations
Personal Development / Consequence Management
* Enable the organisation to act effectively and efficiently within authorities defined
* Ensure that decisions taken basis facts and in an objective manner
* Identify and coach talent
* Reward good performance
