We are proud to announce that our Retina Specialist Dr Ashish Sharma and his research group had discovered a Smartphone Based Fundus Camera  and Imaging Technique with Capability of Imaging Retinal Periphery.

Device has been named as MII Ret Cam " Make In India Retinal Camera".

With in matter of days  we have noticed a widespread interest across the globe in this Imaging device and technique. 

This is a non profit effort from Dr Ashish Sharma and his team for following purposes.

1. For Private Practitioner- Inexpensive tool to record images, videos and even picture printout can be given to patients.
2. Institutions- Can facilitate training of students by showing them really what are they supposed to see in fundus such as snow balls, snow banking, holes, lattice, wwop and other peripheral lesions. We all know that “eye see what mind knows”. 
3. Of course device has ability to take central fundus pics to be used for any other purpose

4. There is a potential to be used for mass screening.
