Problems installing the driver

I am attempting to install the drivers for my SL-5600 on a laptop with
Windows XP SP2 installed on it. I plug the cradle in, put it in the
cradle and then plug in the usb connector to the laptop. Windows
recognizes that I plugged in a SL5600, but requires a driver.

I downloaded the driver off of the Sharp website. Now it appears that
the driver was for the SL5500, at least that is what the manuals say
that are included. However, when I point to the inf files included
with the download, Windows tells me that these drivers are not
compatiable with my hardware and refuses to install them.

So at this point, I have a PDA that I can not synch to. Anyone have
any ideas?
