C-1000 plus USB host cable plus Linksys USB WUSB11 equals...

...next to nothing. the Linksys unit shows power, and dmesg reads as
follows:

hub.c: new USB device -2, assigned address 2
usb.c: USB device 2 (vend/prod 0x77b/0x2219) is not claimed by any
active driver.

All attempts to install usb-network-drivers fail to have any positive
effect.

I am running Cacko 2.4.20.

Any assistance would be appreciated.
